A picture tells a thousand words
Images are content, too. So why aren’t we tracking and analysing our images on the Web? We all have Scribd for documents and Vimeo for videos, but why aren’t we effectively marketing our picture content? Because until now there hasn’t been an easy way to do it.
Embed, share and like
Enter Picuous - the Scribd or Vimeo of the photo world - a photosharing platform that allows you to upload your photos to the Picuous player, embed them on your blog or website (link to your social media accounts if you want ) and then track activity back TO YOUR SITE when visitors embed, view, like or share your image. Finally!
Generate and track incoming traffic
Picuous enables you to analyse click-throughs, segment activity by website, geographical region and more. So even if your images go viral via Facebook or Twitter, for example, they will still track back to your site. Incoming!
Check it out at picuous.com
Although still at Beta version, we reckon this has the potential to turn image marketing on its head.
UPDATE: sadly Picuous has not succeeded in getting off the ground and no longer exists. Who will crack the photosharing platform?
