Content marketing start-up Marketing Clout has appointed Rhys Gregory to a new breed of executive role. The progressive position of content marketing executive reflects the changing focus of cutting edge marketing, which now concentrateson strategic, content-driven inbound digital marketing techniques.

At a time when 90 per cent of customers start their search for products and services online, Marketing Clout directors identified their requirement not only for a strategic thinker, but also a strong writer with a keen and active interest insocial media.

Rhys, a management and business graduate from Aberystwyth University, where he was business editor on The Courier newspaper, was appointed to the role having proven his natural ability to match the necessary skills set during a three month trial period.

Susie McFarland, director at Marketing Clout, said: “Today’s marketing executive has to be far more clued up and on the ball than the marketing exec of yesteryear. The constantly changing digital environment presents a real challenge, which can make or break a company. Our clients are really feeling that pressure and we’re building our team with the right people so we can help relieve that stress with great, strategic work that means more customers for our clients.”
