A marketing crash course for start-ups

There’s a lot of specialist courses out there, and millions of books, but nothing that offers a broad overview of the full marketing mix in a quick, digestible format.

This one day course is designed to be as hands-on as it can possibly be, splitting the sessions into two fast-paced interactive workshops that will cover everything from branding and positioning to getting the leads through the door and how to produce a hard working marketing plan.

By the end of the course, you’ll be fully equipped to hit the ground running, confident that you know the best marketing strategy for your business and how to execute (campaigns not people, that is).

There’s a maximum of 8 people on each course to keep it tight and focused. And of course there’s the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.

What you will learn

Session 1: The basics – setting out your stall
- The relevance of branding to a growing business and how to make it work for you
- How to use strategies and frameworks to produce a hard working brand identity and brand position
- How to develop relevant and meaningful value propositions that open doors (what’s a value proposition anyway?!)

Session 2: Fishing for business
- The marketing mix – how to put together a solid marketing communications plan and prioritise according to budget
- Understand when and how to use different elements of the mix from PPC to SEO and door drops to brochures
- Learn the most effective techniques for lead generation
- Learn how to ensure every different piece of communication works as hard as it possibly can
- Know where to spend your money, and where not to
